We've been having so much fun over the last few weeks. Women of Color HERStory month has been phenomenal with great events, people from all over Pittsburgh coming out to support art & activism, and inspirational moments encouraging us to keep on moving!
Last Thursday at the Kelly-Strayhorn Theater we kicked off WOCHM with the New Voices Pittsburgh Awards and the one woman show, "Womb-Words, Thirsting" by Lenelle Moise.
We honored four amazing women in the city of Pittsburgh, Kelly e. Parker, Aya DeChellis, Amanda Green-Hawkins and Marica Jackson. We'll have pictures up very soon so come back and check us out. Visit www.womenofcolorherstory.org for more events!
We will be having our 6 year anniversary celebration on Saturday March 13th at Montage Interior Design Studio, 201 N. Braddock Ave. The evening promises to be delightful, with music, poetry and dance performances, a great dj, drinks, food and dancing.
